Are you passionate about quality control and the aerospace industry? We have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Source Inspection role with a reputable company located in Richmond, VA. As a Quality Inspector, you'll embark on a journey to various supplier facilities, conducting visual and dimensional inspections on manufactured parts, assemblies, and sub-assemblies. Your keen eye for detail will ensure that parts meet stringent engineering drawings and customer specifications. You will be responsible for reporting inspection results directly to our customers via a user-friendly web application. Ideally, you'll have at least five years of hands-on experience in inspections related to complex machined components, with a strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing per ANSI Y14.5 standards. Proficiency with mechanical inspection tools like micrometers and calipers is essential. Additionally, your experience with First Article Inspections (FAIs) under the AS9102 standard will give you a competitive edge in this role. As an independent contractor on a part-time basis, you’ll have the flexibility to manage your work-life balance while contributing significantly to our mission in the aerospace and defense sectors.
