Job Description

At Visa, the Seller Products team is on a mission to win acceptance in new segments and verticals, empowering Small and Medium-sized Businesses (SMBs) in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC), that are increasingly relying on new payment alternatives. The SMBs play an important role in the region, representing +90% of all enterprises, but despite the size, there is still a lot to be covered to better serve this segment. Visa aims to expand its reach across base of the pyramid merchants and set the aspiration to reach billions of net-new sellers. This role is central to Visa's strategy and offers a unique opportunity to significantly impact economic growth, financial inclusion, and the future of digital payments in the region. The team is seeking for an inspired product analyst to support our initiatives to provide frictionless, low-cost, and easy-to-onboard solutions that enable SMBs to accept payments effortlessly, while fostering their growth with Visa as a valued partner in the journey. To be successful, this person should be able to contribute to the launch of fit-for-purpose payment acceptance solutions. Responsibilities:

  • Data Analysis and Insights: Collect, analyze, and interpret data to provide actionable insights that drive product strategy and decision-making. Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor product performance and key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Product Development Support: Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to support the development and launch of payment acceptance solutions. Assist in defining product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to ensure products meet the needs of SMBs in the region.

  • Customer Insights and Feedback: Gather and analyze customer feedback to identify pain points, areas for improvement, and new opportunities for innovation.

  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Track and report on product performance metrics, including user adoption, transaction volumes, and customer satisfaction. Provide regular updates to the team and senior management on product performance and key insights.

  • Support Economic Models and Pricing Strategy: Assist in the development and analysis of economic models and pricing strategies to ensure the affordability and attractiveness of Visa's payment solutions.

  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, engineering, and customer support, to ensure successful product launches and ongoing improvements. Communicate findings and recommendations clearly and effectively to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Documentation and Process Improvement: Maintain detailed documentation of product requirements, user stories, and project progress. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of product development and launch activities.

  • Understand the LAC Payment Landscape: Develop a thorough understanding of the payment landscape in the Latin America and Caribbean (LAC) region, including regulatory environments, market trends, and cultural nuances. Stay informed about the competitive landscape and emerging payment technologies in the region to identify opportunities and threats.

  • Support Strategic Initiatives: Contribute to strategic initiatives aimed at expanding Visa's reach across base of the pyramid merchants in the LAC region. Participate in special projects and initiatives as needed to support the broader goals of the Seller Products team.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

 

 

Qualifications

Basic Qualification

  • 2+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree, OR 5+ years of relevant work experience


Preferred Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in technology, business, administration or a related field
  • 2 years of relevant experience in product in high growth companies within the financial technology industry or related industries
  • Proven record of solving complex product problems
  • Comprehensive knowledge of UX/UI design principles related to payments ecosystems that incorporate issuers, merchants, tech, and fintech, with a particular focus on enhancing ease of use and improving customer interaction and customer journey
  • Ability to operate independently and work hands-on with product, technology, and other cross-functional team. Strong listening and communication skills
  • Natural collaborator and team player, you must be disciplined and comfortable with ambiguity and able to adapt to changes in priorities quickly, and to work in a matrixed reporting organization
  • Show interest in the LAC market and payment methods (eg. credit, debit, real time payments, wallets, etc)
  • Have a real connection with the idea of impacting the financial lives of millions of sellers in the region, especially SMBs
  • Fluent English, Portuguese speaker. Spanish is a plus
