Job Description

We are the Digital Enablement Solutions Team (DES) in Corporate IT, where we champion the technology needs of our Visa colleagues. Our mission is to drive exceptional quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of services to our users and business functions. Lead a portfolio of organizational change management (OCM) projects focused on mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and Generative AI initiatives. Develop and implement strategies to ensure successful integration and transformation. Drive organizational alignment, engagement, and end-user adoption. Understand user needs and employ imaginative, persuasive techniques to support a dynamic workforce.

Essential Functions:

Portfolio Lead

  • Portfolio Oversight: Provide strategic OCM direction and oversight for a portfolio of projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Matrixed Leadership: Lead and inspire a dedicated team of change managers who do not report directly to you but support your portfolio of projects, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
  • Stakeholder & Risk Management: Act as the first point of escalation for all portfolio-related matters, engaging with senior leadership, clients, and other key stakeholders to communicate progress, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Resource Coordination: Coordinate resources across multiple projects or products, ensuring optimal allocation and utilization to meet project timelines and deliverables.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and report on the performance of the portfolio, using key metrics and KPIs to drive continuous improvement and ensure program and project success.
  • Innovation and Improvement: Promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the team, encouraging the adoption of best practices and new technologies.

Change Manager

  • Lead Change Management Initiatives: Develop and execute change management strategies and plans, including communication strategies, stakeholder engagement, and training programs.
  • Project Management: Manage the change management schedule and resources, report on the progress and status of deliverables, and lead individual projects to ensure successful execution and delivery.
  • Stakeholder Management: Identify and manage key stakeholders, ensuring their involvement and support throughout the change process.
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct change impact assessments, stakeholder analysis, and readiness assessments to identify change needs and risks, and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Success Metrics: Establish and monitor success metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of change initiatives and make necessary adjustments.
  • Communication: Develop and deliver clear, concise, and consistent executive-level communication regarding change initiatives.
  • Training and Development: Design and implement training strategies to support employees through the transition and ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge.
  • End-User Advocacy: Drive end-user adoption, advocacy, education, and satisfaction by understanding user needs and translating complex concepts into simple, compelling designs.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate with project managers, sponsors, and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment and integration of change management and project management activities.
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with business leaders, end-users, and other stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor and change agent.
  • Virtual Team Management: Work effectively with virtual teams located in different time zones and with differing cultures.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD


Preferred Qualifications

  • 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
  • Experience: 8+ years of organizational change management experience, preferably in technology projects, with at least 3+ years leading cross-functional teams.
  • Certification: Prosci or other change management certification or designation is desired.
  • Process Orientation: Strong understanding of organizational change management principles, methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Project Management: Experience with project management approaches, tools, and phases of the project lifecycle, with a track record of on-time, on-scope, high-quality implementations.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership qualities and organizational skills, with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and assignments.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical and business issues and solutions to multiple organizational levels internally and externally.
  • Listening and Influencing: Excellent active listening skills and well-honed influencing skills, with the ability to negotiate and gain consensus between organizations with competing priorities.
  • Initiative and Ownership: Demonstrated initiative and ownership of project success, with the ability to exercise independent judgment with minimal direction from management.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex situations, set goals and objectives, and manage situations to satisfactory completion.
  • Simplification: Ability to break down ambiguous or complex tools and processes into understandable or manageable chunks to drive user adoption and satisfaction.
  • Collaboration: Collaborative and flexible, able to work with cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams.
  • Customer Focus: Strong customer service and analytical skills, with a passion for championing colleague experience.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
  • Additional Skills: Understanding of User Experience and Design Thinking principles, tools, and techniques is a plus.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 134,900.00 to 195,750.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
