Summary:
In this role, you will partner with the West Coast Purchasing Coalition (WCPC), a collaborative of health systems that have aggregated their purchasing volume to drive significant cost savings. You will deliver best-in-class contracting strategies and performance improvement initiatives through independent leadership that results in measurable supply chain cost reductions. Serving as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert to coalition providers, you will embody Vizient’s core values: Bold, Accountable, Inclusive, and Purposeful.
Responsibilities:
Work independently to manage a portfolio of multi-disciplinary contracts; use advanced negotiation skills to manage complex contract terms and conditions; drive portfolio strategy in obtaining provider input from provider committees and / or task forces.
Work in collaboration with the group to maximize the best Vizient price tier, enhance existing Vizient national agreements and create custom agreements on behalf of the group.
Conduct and interpret financial analysis, market trends, and consult with subject matter experts to formulate contract strategy recommendations. Conduct ongoing price monitoring and contract maintenance utilizing Vizient benchmarking tools to review existing agreement market relevance and pricing for negotiations.
Communicate project expectations, updates, and potential risks to team members and stakeholders, which may include leadership, while providing appropriate resolution and recommendations
Lead the bid process and generate Request for Proposals (RFPs). Based on provider input, work with suppliers on specific terms and conditions and pricing to achieve market relevant value.
Support the adoption and implementation of any Committed programs WCPC participates in.
Present savings initiatives and contracting updates at engagement meetings.
Develop, maintain, and mentor others to create strong relationships with suppliers, and internal and external customers across all product and service lines.
Conduct meetings and communicates opportunities, next steps, successes, and challenges to Vizient leadership and key customer stakeholders.
Lead effort to collaborate and incorporate feedback to improve process, outcomes, and deliverables.
Qualifications:
Relevant degree preferred. Advanced degree is a plus.
5 or more years of relevant experience required.
Experience in a contracting, contract management or supply chain related role preferred.
Strong healthcare contracting background with experience in successful contract negotiations highly preferred.
Strong business acumen, with excellent communication, presentation, and client management skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple complex programs and projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Willingness to travel.

Estimated Hiring Range:
At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $88,900.00 to $155,500.00.This position is also incentive eligible.
