Senior Project Manager

SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER
WELLINGBOROUGH OR LONDON (HYBRID)

To meet our strategic growth plans, we need to ensure our processes and technology are scalable for the future.  This is where you come in – overseeing all aspects of our more complex projects, ensuring everything runs smoothly and meets the defined objectives.

Ideally, you will work 2 days per week in our Wellingborough head office with the project team, and will attend the London office approximately once a month for updates with senior stakeholders.

What you will do

  • Oversee projects and workstreams, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Develop and manage comprehensive technology implementation plans that are fully aligned with overall timelines.
  • Facilitate and guide stakeholders, providing status updates on project milestones and dependencies.
  • Manage relationships with third-party technology vendors, ensuring timely delivery and quality of services from vendors.
  • Design and oversee the setup of technical environments, then manage and maintain these through the project.
  • Resource allocation and managing team performance to ensure resources are used efficiently. 
  • Project governance and reporting, including tracking actions and deliverables, following quality and control guidelines, and identifying and reporting on risks and issues. 

What you will bring 

  • Significant experience successfully delivering projects within Financial Services.
  • Track record of managing and working with multiple, complex third parties.
  • Experience working with technical teams, understanding system change requirements and delivering these successfully to end users.
  • Experience in project risk management and mitigation.
  • Experience presenting and communicating with senior stakeholders including C-suite.
  • Experience drafting and submitting budget proposals and business cases and recommending subsequent changes where necessary.
  • Strong leadership, diplomatic and motivational skills including the ability to lead up, across and down multiple business functions.
  • A qualification in project management covering waterfall and agile (e.g. Prince2, PMP, Scrum Master or recognised equivalent).
