Sales enablement manager, ramp & onboarding

📐 About this role

We are committed to building the best field organization in AI. We work with some of the biggest Enterprise organizations who count on us to help them navigate a very dynamic landscape and realize the potential of AI within their organizations.

In order to achieve this, we’re looking for an enablement manager who can design, develop, and deliver a phenomenal onboarding experience that allows our customer-facing colleagues to hit the ground running. We’re looking for someone who is focused on outcomes, not just output. You’re just as obsessed with driving ramp graduation metrics as you are with designing the intricacies of your training modules. You believe in creating engaging experiences that allow your learners to practice and improve. You’re constantly learning and refining without anyone asking you to.

What’s in it for you

It’s an incredibly dynamic role — you’ll jump from highly stimulating topics that span high-level GTM strategy, new product capabilities, and new enablement priorities. You’ll lead key projects that are directly tied to impact. You’ll work on a team that gives you a high degree of autonomy, trusts your intuition, and invests in your growth. We're action and impact oriented. We value high-quality execution and strive to create a working environment that allows you to move fast and learn.  For someone self-motivated and with a problem-solving mindset, you’ll find a greenfield opportunity. You’ll own and scale out a ramp program that's one of the best in SaaS, one that you can be proud of. There'll be opportunities to build horizontally through cross-functional initiatives as well as vertically as you become a trusted advisor across our organization.

🦸🏻‍♀️ Your responsibilities:

  1. Onboarding Program Design and Implementation:

    • Develop and maintain a comprehensive onboarding program that covers all aspects of the sales and customer success roles.

    • Create and curate training materials, including presentations, videos, and hands-on exercises.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., product, marketing, customer success) to ensure the onboarding content is up-to-date and relevant.

    • Ensure that the onboarding programs are consistently delivered across all regions but also easily adaptable to suit regional needs, as Writer scales.

  2. Training and Development:

    • Deliver interactive workshops and training sessions, both in-person and virtually, covering product knowledge, sales techniques, customer success strategies, and company culture.

    • Facilitate role-playing exercises and simulations to enhance practical skills.

    • Provide ongoing support and coaching to new hires during their initial months on the job.

  3. Performance Tracking and Feedback:

    • Establish programme KPIs, tracking and monitoring the progress of new hires through the onboarding program and provide regular feedback.

    • Conduct regular check-ins and one-on-one meetings to address any challenges and provide guidance.

    • Collect and analyze data to measure the effectiveness of the onboarding program and identify areas for improvement.

  4. Collaboration and Communication:

    • Work closely with the sales and customer success leadership teams to align onboarding goals with business objectives.

    • Partner with People Operations, IT, GTM leaders, and other stakeholders to ensure a cohesive and consistent onboarding and training experience.

    • Act as a central point of contact for new hires, communicating regularly with them to ensure they feel supported and engaged.

  5. Continuous Improvement:

    • Stay current with industry best practices and trends in sales enablement and onboarding.

    • Gather feedback from new hires and stakeholders to refine and enhance the onboarding program.

    • Implement new tools and technologies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the onboarding process.

⭐️ Is this you?

  1. Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.

    • 5+ years of experience in SaaS, on the go-to-market side.

    • 3+ years of experience in sales enablement, training, or onboarding programs.

    • Startup or Scaleup experience is highly preferred.

  2. Skills and Competencies:

    • Thrives in ambiguity and can create paved roads from dirt paths.

    • Ability to create and deliver engaging and effective training materials.

    • Ability to distill complex topics into digestible learnings that learners can retain.

    • Strong project management and organizational skills.

    • Proficiency in using sales enablement tools and technologies like a learning management system (LMS), sales call recording tools, scorecards, and more.

    • Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze and interpret performance metrics.

    • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

  3. Personal Attributes:

    • High intellectual curiosity and a proclivity to lean into a new subject matter

    • A trusted advisor and partner for all levels of the organization

    • Intrinsically motivated: you set the highest possible bar for what you build and ship

    • An eye for spotting an opportunity, intuition for determining which ones to prioritize, and courage to follow through

    • Possesses humility — no work is too trivial if it’s impactful

    • Resilient and open to honest (and kind) feedback; tough skin

    • Self-aware and committed to learning the why for both successes and failures

    • Proactive communication skills, both sync and async

    • Experience managing and building relationships across multiple departments and stakeholder levels

    • A natural affinity to our values of connect, challenge, own.
