Inclusion, Diversity, Engagement & Awareness (IDEA) Council

Mission:

  • Bring together voices and ideas throughout the Bank to make recommendations to our Executive Committee, and to help facilitate and ensure a culture of diversity, openness, and inclusion.

To support an environment where everyone can succeed, the IDEA Council will focus on these four pillars:

  • Communication & Engagement: Delivering IDEA updates and engagement opportunities to the Bank.
  • Diversity & Inclusion Training: Building the skills and environment to improve equality and diversity.
  • Recruitment Strategy: Creating an enhanced recruitment strategy from a larger pool of diverse talent that promotes equality, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Mentorship Program: Sharing responsibility for a culture of coaching and development, and creating a diverse talent pool for succession planning.

The Bank is a multi-generational, multi-cultural community that extends throughout Southern California. As of December 2022 our gender and diversity makeup is as follows:

  • 73% of our Open Requistions and Promotions were filled by racially/ethnically diverse candidates.
  • 52% of our Open Requistions were filled by women.
  • 11% of our Open Requisitions were filled by internal candidates.
