Pros

Amazing culture. One of the rare companies that truly look out for you and put YOU first. I would go back if I could! The work life balance is truly amazing and the teams are really fun to work with.

Cons

There are less opportunities for growth if you cant relocate. Standard for any Sales position though.

To help us hear the voices and diverse perspectives of our team members, we gather feedback and sentiments in formal and informal ways. Two examples are our Open Door Policy  and. executive-hosted Listening Tours, which are roundtable discussions led by our senior executives to provide team members visibility with leaders, and leaders with new perspectives.

Here are a few ways we’re advancing connection, kinship, and inclusion at Behr:

  • Hosting interactive workshops and practical toolkits to learn and apply behaviors that improve inclusion, empathy, and allyship.

Career Development Opportunities

Team members can develop skills, hear best practice information from top talent, and receive practical tools and resources for professional development. Our innovative Mentoring Circles program offers small-group virtual breakouts, hosted by leaders within Behr, to help team members build relationships with leaders and peers across the organization and gain new insights.

 Talent Mobility

We actively encourage team members to seek roles within the organization to broaden their knowledge, skill sets, and perspectives. We share open positions internally first, giving our team members a five-day head start to apply before interviewing any external candidates. All internal candidates are promised at least an exploratory/informational discussion with the hiring manager as well as the opportunity to seek related developmental feedback. Team members can also learn about, and apply for, positions within the Masco Corporation family of companies.

Education Assistance

Team members may apply for up to $8,000 in educational assistance annually to support formal education relating to their job responsibilities. Team members may also apply for undergraduate scholarships on behalf of their children and grandchildren through a fund offered by one of Behr’s founders.

Community Involvement

Volunteer & Matching Gift Incentive Programs 

Full-time team members are given one day of paid time annually to serve a nonprofit of their choice in their communities. Personal monetary donations can be doubled through a company match of up to $5,000 per year.

Corporate Giving & Philanthropic Partnerships

  • Diversity, Equity & Inclusion grants to help eliminate biases for historically underrepresented populations 
  • Housing grants to help build safe, decent, affordable homes in our communities
  • Community development grants to support community programs that foster prosperity

Supplier Diversity Program

We aspire to build a community of suppliers that reflects both our consumer and team member base. To that end, we’re increasing our partnerships with businesses that are at least 51% owned and operated by an individual or group that is part of a historically underrepresented community (e.g., minorities, women, persons with disabilities, LGBTQ+, veterans).

Sustainability

Being a good corporate citizen is a part of who we are, and we constantly look for ways to make positive, sustainable changes. We continue to make efforts to reduce our own carbon footprint and improve our operational performance in ways that respect our environment.

We're Expanding to Heath, OH

We’re growing! We’re building a new state-of-the-art facility in Heath, OH, located only 40 minutes from Columbus. Our 320,000-square-foot space includes a regional distribution center and manufacturing operations to support our growing business.  

Here’s a peek at some of our current open positions along with future positions that will become available soon:  

  • Distribution Services: Order Pullers, Paint Mixers, Reach Truck Operators, and Field Service Reps (Drivers)
  • Manufacturing (from August 2023): Machine Operators, Batching Operators, Receiving and Shipping Operators, Production Supervisors, and an MRO Buyer 
  • Quality: Quality Technicians
  • Supply Chain (from January 2024): Supply Chain Specialist
