Berkshire was founded in 1969 and is one of the most active multifamily owners and lenders in the United States. The Company is headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts and has 13 regional offices nationwide. Berkshire is a vertically-integrated multifamily advisory and management company that is led by seven senior executives and has dedicated teams for property acquisitions, debt origination and investment, asset management, property management, rehabilitation, development and finance.
Berkshire's property management division is based in Atlanta, Georgia and has approximately 800 site level and regional professionals. Berkshire owns or manages over 100 communities, with over 32,000 apartment units, located in approximately 30 markets across the United States. As one of the largest managers of apartments in the country, Berkshire continuously strives to provide exceptional customer service to its residents while providing a challenging and rewarding environment for its associates.
