DEI Council -

The DEI Council was formed in 2020 led by John Barkidjija, Head of CRE & Specialty Finance, and Dana Traci, Chief Human Resources Officer, serving as co-executive sponsors along with a diverse cross-section of Bank employees to drive DEI initiatives, achieve key goals and enact change.

Employee-led ERGs take center stage within our Workplace priorities with a focus on creating a supportive and safe space to grow and develop at Byline.

Our 100 Year Legacy

A community & commercial bank born and bred in Chicago.

Our name comes from the journalistic term for authorship. At Byline, we’re a bank that believes in putting our name behind everything we do and we’re here to roll up our sleeves and help our customers write their stories.

Our name may be young, but our history of helping local neighbors, nonprofits, and businesses reaches back to 1914. Our renaming in 2013 signaled a union of our multiple local community bank brands to solidify our commitment to Chicagoland.

Pride Fest

For over 40 years, the Broadway Byline branch has been in the neighborhood proudly supporting banking and lending assistance to the LGBTQ community. Our bond to our communities always included doing right by our customers and upholding diversity and inclusion. Our branches, customers and employees reflect the vibrant and diverse communities in which we serve. When local business flourish, so does the neighborhood and its residents.

Women Empowered By Byline

Women Empowered by Byline (WEBB) is a group created to develop, advance and retain women leaders at Byline through strategic forums, as well as learning and development opportunities to create a culture where women succeed. Sponsored at the Executive level, the group meets regularly and nurtures our future leadership through networking and mentorship.
