Acquiring lots of firms at a rapid pace (pro and con)At Cumming Group, we recognize and celebrate diversity and inclusion, which is why we foster a work environment where every team member feels that they belong and can thrive. This effort begins with our recruiting and hiring practices, where we actively seek out diverse candidates from all backgrounds and walks of life, and continues through to our internal policies, training and advancement opportunities, and overall company values and norms, all of which are under continual scrutiny as we strive to make Cumming the most equitable and forward-thinking employer in our industry. Furthermore, our dedication to diversity and equality is the perfect complement to our culture of excellence. Since opening, Cumming continues to grow and we have more than 350 team members, and we have completed projects in more than 25 countries around the world!
At Cumming, we pride ourselves in delivering extraordinary and lasting results, results that other consultancies may dismiss as impractical or even impossible. Cumming is different from other consultancies because we don’t focus simply on the end result; we’re focused on day-to-day disciplines.

Our intern program allows college students to gain invaluable industry experience as cost and project managers as they pursue studies in construction management, engineering, architecture, and related fields. We also offer accounting, business development, information technology, and scheduling internship opportunities.
Since its inception in 2015, the program has grown exponentially. To date, we have recruited interns from nearly 30 colleges nationwide, who intern in our offices spanning geographies from Honolulu, Hawaii, to New York, New York.
Up to 50% of our interns enjoy coming back for additional internships while they finish their studies or are hired full-time upon graduation!
What our interns do.
Our cost management interns generally get to work on multiple projects. They get involved with various aspects of pre-construction, from back-of-napkin estimates to detailed value engineering analyses of construction documents. Our project management interns typically focus on one project and are located onsite, helping our PM team complete the project alongside the contractor, design team, and owner.
