As part of this ongoing effort, Halifax Health Family Medicine Residency Program offers a competitive scholarship program offers one to two full housing scholarships to support underrepresented in medicine (URiM) fourth year medical students during a one month externship. URiM as defined by our Halifax Health Family Medicine Residency Program includes underrepresented race and ethnicities, LGBTQ , students with disabilities, low socioeconomic status, first-generation to college and first generation immigrants.
