Intern/Co-op Program
Hydrite has historically offered a variety of opportunities for college students to work alongside leaders and gain valuable hands-on experience. In 2022, Hydrite's program consisted of 29 students from 18 universities.
Rotational/Development Program
Our recently announced “In Development” Program is designed to develop comprehensive operations and engineering leadership skill sets. The program will grow future operations and engineering leaders by providing structured rotational opportunities, training, mentoring, and experiential development. Each participant will rotate between sites and departments over a three to five year period with opportunities to further involvement in the summer intern program, networking events, and development.
Community Involvement
Hydrite is proud to be a fifth-year corporate partner at Cristo Ray Jesuit Highschool and their work-study program. The students gain invaluable experience in a professional work environment that will help them make decisions for the future. We have also partnered with Marquette High School for over 25 years by offering students a 12-week paid internship at our Technology Center in Milwaukee, through the DISCOVER program.
Community Impact
Hydrite partners with over 50 non-profit organizations across all of our locations. Our 4 pillars of giving are education, environment, local needs, and children's needs & development. Aligning with Vision 2025, we hope to reach at least 50% participation company-wide at our monthly volunteer events.
Our Focus
Hydrite has a long-standing partnership with Feeding America Eastern WI. In 2022, we became the title sponsor of the Bobby Portis PB&J challenge. Given our continued focus on solving local hunger, we've introduced 3 new programs in 2023: Hunger Task Force Fridays at the farm, Hydrite Helps Holiday Hunger, and Steals for Meals. In collaboration with 6 local professional baseball teams near our locations, Hydrite will be donating $100 per steal to local food banks for a total of $42,000.
Month of Giving
Month of Giving is a time in which we will both celebrate the work we all have done through the Hydrite Helps program and double-down on our commitment to making the areas in which we work a better place. During the Month of Giving, all of our locations will hold multiple volunteer events, a kick-off celebration, and a food drive.

Development

In 2022, Hydrite provided 20 employees with tuition reimbursement for external education.

Sustainability
With a focus on our people, our environment, our customers, and our community, we are committed to empowering our employees to make the world a better place. Hydrite's sustainability efforts are focused on energy conservation, water conservation, waste reduction, and recycling. In 2022, saved an excess of 130,000 gallons of water, and avoided over 21,000 pounds of packaging waste.
Technology
We continue to invest in our world class technology Center with many new instrument, application, and automation capabilities, innovation platforms, and product development. Providing these enhanced capabilities allows our chemists to rapidly develop 30 new products annually and provide customized technical support for our customers.

Hydrite has a strong safety culture that permeates every aspect of their operations. Safety is our top priority, and we are committed to ensuring the well-being of our employees, customers, and communities. While implementing rigorous safety protocols, providing comprehensive training, and maintaining strict compliance with regulations, we continuously foster a culture of improvement where safety is ingrained in every decision and action.
