We realize that it is our responsibility to use our platform, voice, and influence to seek out injustices and ensure that Impinj becomes, and remains, a model of diversity and inclusion. That is why we have taken several steps forward in addressing the racial disparities within our organization.
We began this process by conducting company-wide discussions where our team members were encouraged to share their personal experiences and express their thoughts, feelings, and general impressions of Impinj’s commitment to diversity. We felt that it was vital to take this time to listen and empathize in order to gain a clear perspective of where we’re at, and where we need to be.
As a result of these discussions, our team members came up with three key goals to help boost Impinj’s diversity efforts:
Recently, we formed a cross-divisional Diversity Action Team consisting of Impinj team members and executive leaders. Their mission will be to actualize the D&I strategy, oversee programs and partnerships that further the D&I efforts, and ensure Impinj remains focused on our ongoing commitments and D&I initiatives.
