Pros

I have worked at Rapid for the past 6 months. The training and support has been far beyond any other job I've had to this point. That said, a recent experience I had really stood out to me. I was scheduled to work on the 4th of July. TBH, I wasn't thrilled about it. What blew my mind was when the President of Rapid also came in on the 4th and brought all of us doughnuts! He then walked around and spoke with everyone. I had my final interview with him months ago. When he stopped by my desk, he not only remembered me, my name, but also my dogs name. I was shocked. He literally does hundreds if not thousands of interviews...This was such a thoughtful interaction. Feeling heard/seen by senior leadership goes a long way. I can't wait to see where I can go with this company.

Cons

Weekends and Holidays can be tough. A company that cares and recognizes our sacrifices certainly helps.
A Career with Impact

We believe that judgment and compassion are key to making a meaningful impact with technology. Responses to smart home tech, home security systems, fire alarms, call boxes, and help buttons are how we make that impact.

We are the voice on the other end of the line that sends the right kind of help when it's needed.

Fundamentally, our service is highly specialized customer service -- but because we support technologies that safeguard life and property, we prepare for every interaction to be a potential response to a life-threatening emergency, and we deliver unmatched customer service regardless of circumstance.

Does that sound like the right kind of challenging career to you?

Our Stories

Most of what we do can be described as highly specialized customer service, but there are times our work makes a huge individual impact on one person's life. These are those stories.

We serve every customer, every time, with the same level of readiness -- because any one of them could be one where help is needed. And we'll be there, ready to send the right kind of assistance to communities across the country.

Grow Rapidly

Grow with us!

100% of our Operations leaders started as a Specialist, and over 92% of company-wide leadership started in an entry-level role at Rapid. We invest in your professional development and lead with the empathy of having sat where you sit on day one.

The average tenure at our company is 3.5 years, and it's quite common that we celebrate a team member's 10, 15, 20-year anniversary with the company -- recently, we even had a 30-year anniversary! Most did not know anything about the industry when they started, but all found the support to pursue a career. Whether you choose to build a career in operations (like Alison did, in the video above) or grow in our many other departments, your foundation will serve you well in your Rapid career.

Onboarding begins with 3 weeks of classroom training on the history of the industry as well as basic training in processing alarms, events, and signals. We then mentor you one-on-one for several weeks more, adding new skill sets to your toolbox as you master the previous one. The complete process takes months, but that's because we believe in providing you with every possible tool and all the support you'll need to succeed -- not just on your first day, but for decades to come.
