Pros

Positive, friendly people working to make products that are good for the world. Lots of training and development opportunities and a reputation for promoting quickly. Great benefits and discounted products will make you the new favorite friend/family member/neighbor. I don't even mention that I'm going to a mid-day doctor's appointment because no one is watching or minds you taking personal time, so long as your work gets done. Great flexibility and vacation time.

Cons

Easy to move from another consumer goods company, but sometimes hard to acclimate if you're not used to CPG operations and metrics and processes. It's such a specific industry and it's own world so a bit of a learning curve. But if you come from or move to another CPG, you'll be at home.

With around 40,000 people of 125 different nationalities operating in 68 countries spanning six continents, diversity isn't an additional principle for us, but integral to the way we think and act.

Some of our efforts to ensure we're better placed to have a positive impact in the world and reflect the diversity of our consumers and communities include:

  • Establishing a North American Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion strategy and leadership-led board: This group is responsible for the development and activation of our NA DEI strategy in alignment with the Global Inclusion Strategy and reflecting the priorities and local needs of the North American market.
  • Empowering our colleagues to make a difference: In 2022, we continued to establish grassroots networks of underrepresented communities with shared characteristics or life experiences through our ERGs (Employee Resource Groups). These help people support each other and share the challenges they face with the wider business to increase awareness and foster empathy. In North America, over 1,300 employees participate in one or more of our six groups.
  • Promoting conscious inclusion: In 2021, we launched an ambitious program to promote the benefits of conscious inclusion. Through this, we bring employee voices and stories to the topics of inclusion, unconscious bias, micromessages, and allyship to team discussions.
  • Developing our people: Dialing up the development of our people has been a strategic focus for 2022. It’s critical that we have the right skills, capability, and behaviors to achieve our Purpose and empower people to perform at their authentic best every day. In 2023, we added dozens of new online self-paced learning opportunities available to all employees, with topics ranging from the basics of DEI to how to be an inclusive leader and beyond.
  • Reporting on gender pay balance: The data in our 2022 Gender Pay and Inclusion report shows how we are working towards our goal of gender balance at all management levels by 2030.
