Pros

At Schellman you will be treated like a team member and not an excel spreadsheet cell holder. We all work together on projects and people of all levels help to make sure you are successful. Our benefits are truly the best with the 10% 401K matching and the profit sharing bonuses quarterly. We also have great Health, Dental and Vision Insurance.

Cons

The only real con I can think of is the 100% remote work for most of the team. I enjoy working from home but sometimes I miss the personal interaction of showing up to an office once in a while. this may go away once we start traveling a little more.

SchellmanCARES was formalized as our corporate social responsibility (CSR) program in 2018 with the intention of creating a launchpad for programs within our Firm that reflect the values, interests, and needs of our ever-growing and evolving team. This employee-led initiative demonstrates our commitment to issues that we are most passionate about: Charity, Advocacy, Resources, Employee Engagement, and Service (CARES).

The five main pillars of the CARES program are as follows:

At Schellman, we are all about our employees determing their career path. On the Audit side, once you have become proficient with our processes and methodology, we can build upon that foundation to give our team the opportunity to learn a new framework and skillset. On the Operations side, we work with the team to build experience and knowledge in order to advance or transition to a new area. We have an extensive development process to partner with our employees in meeting their career goals.

Continuing Education

We only want your skills and knowledge base to increase during your time at Schellman. We arrange the CISA, CISSP, CIPP and ISO Lead Auditor Certifications for groups throughout the year. Many others are scheduled individually and covered by the firm. For those that are interested in finishing or obtaining a degree, we offer a generous tuition reimbursement.

In-house training is offered on a consistent basis and covers changes across our service lines, best practices and methodology in order to make sure that our employees remain as updated and knowledgeable in our industry as possible.

We're all about an excellent balance here at Schellman. While our roles are fast-paced and challenging, we have policies and benefits in place to make sure that we maintain work-life effectiveness. These include a generous amount of paid time off and mental health days, our firm-wide one week break for the week of Independence Day, two week winter break, and our annual corporate outing. Plus, we set aside time as a firm to give back in our communities during our Annual Day of Giving.

Network and affinity groups exist to benefit the members and our organization as a whole.
In an ideal environment, we aspire for our resource groups to support the company’s efforts to attract and retain the best talent, promote leadership and development at all ranks, build an internal support system for team members within the company, and encourage diversity and inclusion among team members at all levels.

We look to our groups to:

Enhance our diverse talent and multicultural awareness in order to create a workforce that mirrors the face of the consumers
Represent the company, and in some ways operate as a department as they lead other team members toward better cultural understanding
Establish/Revamp the Corporate Diversity Vision: provide valuable viewpoints on corporate D&I policies and initiatives and look to locate areas in need of improvement
