1.) Unclear career path trajectory/opportunities within (maybe within certain departments and not overall) 2.) TBDTradeweb Markets Inc. (Nasdaq: TW) is a leading, global operator of electronic marketplaces for rates, credit, equities and money markets. Founded in 1996, Tradeweb provides access to markets, data and analytics, electronic trading, straight-through-processing and reporting for more than 40 products to clients in the institutional, wholesale and retail markets. Advanced technologies developed by Tradeweb enhance price discovery, order execution and trade workflows while allowing for greater scale and helping to reduce risks in client trading operations. Tradeweb serves approximately 2,500 clients in more than 65 countries. On average, Tradeweb facilitated more than $1.1 trillion in notional value traded per day over the past four quarters.
While one-third of our 900 employees are technologists, focused on creating diverse execution protocols and innovative workflow optimization tools, many others are former traders and salespeople. We understand what is needed to trade intelligently and efficiently because many of us have worked on trading floors. Joining the team at Tradeweb means collaborating with other creative thinkers who think outside the box, and who have the vision and drive to shape the future of electronic trading.
We help traders trade better, which means we make markets operate more efficiently. Since our founding, we have been at the center of the electronification of the global government bond market, creating solutions and applying technology that has led the way for the evolution of fixed income trading.
We view our clients as partners. With over 2,500 clients across the globe, we partner with institutional (asset managers, hedge funds, insurance companies, etc.), wholesale (commercial and investment banks, principal trading firms) and retail (sell-side traders, buy-side investors, financial advisors) clients to listen, develop relationships and work through unique challenges, finding ways to improve performance and trade efficiency. Through this expansive network, we’re able to offer the most comprehensive range of fixed income market connectivity and trading technology. Our vast experience equips us to see trends early and react quickly with solutions that help clients – at times before they even know they need them.
Our work environment fosters creativity, innovation, collaboration and respect. It’s what enables us to continue building marketplaces that attract and support investors and traders from around the world. Our experience has shown that the best way to cultivate such an environment is to welcome people of all different ages, backgrounds, ethnicities, nationalities, genders, sexual orientations, beliefs and physical abilities. It has helped us achieve success to date, and it’s crucial to our future.
We recognize that our markets are constantly evolving, and we evolve alongside them. Flexibility is key, and we continuously reevaluate our processes and procedures to ensure that all employees are given the opportunity to learn and grow alongside our changing markets. We aim to provide our employees with opportunities that enhance their skill sets, learn new things and see their work have a direct effect on the success of the business. Everyone has a crucial role to play, and no role is too small or insignificant. No matter where they are – whether in New York, Singapore or London, to name a few, we encourage our employees to take advantage of the unique opportunities that we provide to them.
We value diverse perspectives and encourage varied and robust ideas. We’re especially passionate about female representation in technology fintech and aim to be a leader for women in this industry. Our goal is to make sure every voice is heard, and give everyone the access and ability to grow as an individual and, eventually, a leader.
Tradeweb has established a number of committees and affinity groups dedicated to improving our employee’s lives at work, and advancing their personal and professional development. A few examples include:
Tradeweb Global Women’s Network: Established to ensure that all women throughout the organization have the appropriate support and access to all opportunities at Tradeweb. The GWN addresses topics that have a wide appeal and bring colleagues together from all parts of our firm.
Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) Committee: We understand that our diverse pool of talents, ideas and worldviews make us strong as a company, and we are committed to maintaining a safe and inclusive environment for everyone. This committee raises awareness, provides a forum to discuss DE&I and also educates, informs, promotes and encourages a DE&I culture.
Working Parents Network: Created to provide a space for our hard-working parents to find and provide support to one another. This network provides education and resources to help parents achieve work/life balance, navigate parenting dilemmas and learn how to raise successful, positive and confident children.
Sustainability Action Network: Tradeweb’s Sustainability Action Network aims to provide all employees with an opportunity to shape the way Tradeweb approaches our environmental impact. The network brings together employees from various disciplines to ensure we integrate sustainability considerations into all that we do at Tradeweb; from recycling & upcycling, to our corporate environmental footprint, to educating employees on the issues facing our planet, and more.
Tradeweb Cares: We encourage and facilitate strong corporate citizenship, strategic philanthropic partnership and employee volunteerism. At its core, Tradeweb Cares is focused on making meaningful contributions to the causes of importance to the Tradeweb community and its valued constituents.
Engagement Committee
We want our employees to enjoy coming to work, to excel, to grow and develop, to have fun, to feel part of something great and to be proud of working for Tradeweb. This committee is responsible for determining our employee engagement agenda and making it happen — devising and implementing ways to improve our day-to-day environment and make Tradeweb an even better place to work.
Social Engagement Committee
This subcommittee organizes quarterly social events such as pub quizzes, darts, ping-pong or pool tournaments. We encourage new joiners to get involved by coming up with new event ides and helping to make them a success.
Elevating Training and Development
Tradeweb helps employees become as knowledgeable about our industry as possible. Events and resources such as Product/Business Updates, and Tradeweb Communications are all aimed at sharing information and improving our collective understanding of the space in which we work.
Career Development Progression
Tradeweb policy is to retain and develop our people wherever possible, and to facilitate an increase in skills and knowledge. Employees can also help themselves to develop in their roles by seeking new learning experiences, and by thinking of creative and practical ideas to improve the way in which they and their colleagues work.

Global Internship Program: The Tradeweb Summer Internship Program is a comprehensive, project-based program for students across the world who are currently enrolled in a full-time university. Our summer interns gain real experience through practical, hands-on work, similar to those who start full-time after graduating, and many have made a meaningful impact at Tradeweb.
Learning and development are also a part of the program. Interns attend comprehensive trainings of the Fixed Income Markets presented by some of our most senior team members, followed by weekly interactive seminars about Tradeweb’s business and the industry. Our interns will also have the opportunity to learn from and build relationships with our CEO, President, CTO and senior management.
Each intern is paired with a manager who provides professional guidance along with insight across our industry and different businesses. We also encourage interns to build relationships and network with each other through interactive outings with fellow interns and full-time employees.
