The Customer Experience Operations & Project Management Office are passionate about their role in that mission and the ideal candidate for this role will share our excitement in privacy, security, customer experience, operations and all things project management.


We’re looking for a Sr. Communications Specialist who has extensive experience operating within an organization that is rapidly growing, and establishing industry best practices. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, CX Operations, you will foster a clear and strategic communications strategy within the department & organization. In this role you’ll help us: develop and implement inter-department and cross departmental communication strategies that maximize understanding, adoption and minimize knowledge gaps while supporting the Operations and PMO teams.


This is a Remote opportunity within Canada and the US.


What we're looking for:
  • 5+ years of experience in a communications role focusing on internal communications or equivalent with a preference for experience in a customer service or technology environment.
  • Experience with implementing a strategy using solid communications, change management & project management principles
  • Strong interpersonal, communications, writing and editing skills; ability to write for a variety of audiences across multiple communication channels
  • Demonstrated ability to present complex insights in a clear, understandable, and compelling manner to a variety of stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organization, project, and time management skills
  • Proven ability to learn new technology and platforms quickly
  • Strong knowledge of Project Management Tools and Project Management Systems
  • Preferred: strong knowledge of Monday.com and Google Suite of Products


What you can expect:
  • Partner with management to plan, develop, and evaluate communication strategies that align with the strategic direction and goals of the Customer Experience department.
  • Create a comprehensive communications roadmap for internal messaging, ensuring consistency across various platforms and departments including online memos, publications, and announcements.
  • Develop high-quality communications materials and maintain content consistency through templates and tools across multiple channels.
  • Translate complex Customer Experience concepts into clear, engaging, and easily understandable communications.
  • Regularly update internal intranet sites with communications for historical referencing, fostering cross-functional collaboration for communication updates.
  • Monitor and assess the effectiveness of communication strategies, making adjustments for continuous improvement.
  • Support Customer Experience Operations and Project Management Office staff in integrating communication strategies into project plans.
  • Act as the key advisor and writer for all Customer Experience communications, enhancing team communication skills.
  • Lead communication efforts for CX related meetings and events, supporting the planning and execution to ensure cohesive messaging.


Bonus points for:
  • Communication Management Professional (CMP®)
  • Strategic Communication Management Professional (SCMP®)
  • PMP or CAPM project management certification, or equivalent


USA-based roles only: The Annual base salary for this role is between $94,000 USD and $128,000 USD, plus immediate participation in 1Password's benefits program (health, dental, 401k and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.


Canada-based roles only: The Annual base salary for this role is between $94,000 CAD and $128,000 CAD, plus immediate participation in 1Password’s generous benefits program (health, dental, RRSP and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.
