Our client, a rapidly growing full service interactive advertising agency, is looking to hire an SEO Specialist on a contract basis for the month of July.

Pay Range: $20-25/hr.
Hours: 20/week
Location: Remote
Duration: Month of July - could get extended
Ecommerce Focus (2+ years of experience highly preferred)
• Building, executing, and reporting on a holistic Ecommerce SEO strategy
• Advanced knowledge of how to prioritize and optimize product pages at scale, with experience using AI to improve efficiency and quality of product pages
• Familiarity with structuring faceted navigation to reduce duplicate content and improving user experience
• Ability to craft impactful architecture recommendations understanding the relationship between SEO benefits and overall website performance
• Proficiency in using impactful schema markup recommendations to improve visibility in SERPs and entice users to click on results
• Must have experience with Ecommerce platforms such as Shopify, Woocommerce, Magento and Bigcommerce and developing impactful website governance strategies that promote fluid publishing, but safeguard important SEO logic.
• Basic understanding of review management, tools to drive reviews, and have crafted a strategy around improving reviews
• Basic understanding of crafting a link building strategy, tools needed, and driving quality backlinks at scale
Local Focus (2+ years of experience highly preferred)
• Optimize and manage Google My Business listings, including accurate NAP (Name, Address, Phone Number) details, selecting appropriate business categories, managing reviews, and uploading relevant photos.
• Expertise in building and managing local citations across directories and ensuring consistent NAP information
• Being proactive in generating, responding to, and managing local search reviews including rankings and conversions across platforms like Google, Yelp, TripAdvisor, etc.
• Experience developing a local link building strategy, executing, and reporting on impact
• Creating local content calendars that consider specific offerings, events, and culture
• Crafting local keyword research using Semrush, Ahrefs, or other applicable SEO tools
• Implementing structured data markup relevant to local businesses
• Experience optimizing for Google Maps, Apple Maps, Waze, etc. and a proven track record of impact
• Strong reporting skills and the ability to understand the relationship between clicks, impressions, CTR, and average position in GSC and what behaviors that indicates in SERPs
Off-Site and Link Building Focus (2+ years of experience preferred)
• Proficiency in backlink analysis, utilizing tools such as Moz, Ahrefs, Semrush, Majestic, etc. to evaluate clients link profiles and the opportunities vs. competitors
• Ability to foster genuine relationships with bloggers, journalists, industry leaders, and website owners to secure valuable link opportunities.
• Understanding how to use high-quality content as a tool for link acquisition, whether it's through guest posts, infographics, or original research.
• Crafting compelling, personalized outreach emails that get opened, read, and responded to, while avoiding being flagged as spam.
• Experience with email automation platforms such as Hubspot, Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign, etc. is a plus.
• Ability to discern between high-quality, beneficial links and low-quality, potentially harmful links. Recognizing the value of relevance, domain authority, and the potential traffic a link can bring.
• Strong negotiation skills and understanding when budget is required to win valuable link placements. Ability to craft that budget, present to client, and report on impact is a major plus.
• Strong understanding of how affiliate marketing works and working directly with Rise’s Affiliate team on growth opportunities.
• Awareness of white-hat vs. black-hat techniques to ensure all link-building activities are in line with Google's guidelines.
• Experience contracting offshore support to scale link building strategy, while maintaining high quality of work.
Requirements & Skills
• 2-4 years of SEO experience, PPC experience is a plus
• Advanced level understanding of SEO tactics including keyword strategy, on-site SEO, internal and external link analysis, technical SEO, and local/mobile SEO
• Strong understanding of how SEO is impacted by other marketing channels such as affiliate, paid search, display/programmatic, PR, etc.
• Passion for using automation for identifying and executing projects
• Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Experience forecasting traffic/conversions or other organic KPIs using different methodologies
• Demonstrated experience managing SEO strategy for at least 1 client while being held to a strict client goals
• Experience managing at least one direct report is a plus
• Strong knowledge of analytics platforms such as Adobe and GA in addition to rank tracking tools (Linkdex, SEMrush, Conductor, Moz, etc.)
• Significant experience and familiarity w/ Excel,
• Excellent presentation and verbal communication skills
• Very strong written communication skills, familiarity w/ AP Style preferred
