Advanced degree/certification preferred but not required.General Accounting Job Description:Successful Candidates for senior accountant positions should possess solid communication, technology, organizational and analytical skills.Typical senior accountant general accounting duties:• Reconciling sub-ledger to general ledger account balances• Preparing financial statements• Supporting month-end and year-end close• Preparing financial statements, journal entries and account reconciliations• Assessing internal controls, including risk assessments and reviews of risk areas• Assisting with budget preparation and preparing the monthly budget variance analyses• Maintaining and reconciling internal balance sheet schedules• Adhoc projects as needed.• Strong Excel skills and Formula use necessary.
