We are urgently seeking a 3rd Shift Maintenance Technician to support our state-of-the-art manufacturing site in Brunswick, Maine.
The Maintenance Technician is an integral member of a high-performing maintenance team dedicated to developing and sustaining a highly automated medical device manufacturing facility. You will work in a class-8 clean room where creativity, teamwork and shared learning are valued over individual success.
What we offer
- $1,000 sign-on bonus ($250 paid after one week; $750 paid after 90 days)
- $25 - $30/hr depending on experience (+$2 shift differential for hours worked between 5:30pm and 5:30am)
- Normal work hours are 10 pm - 6 am, Monday - Friday; may be required to work overtime

Your role
- Perform equipment repairs and preventative maintenance on manufacturing/facility equipment with flexibility to enable work to be completed during production downtime
- Possess a high level of equipment and process ownership
- Work with machine designers/manufacturers to help detail changes to equipment
- Maintain documentation for equipment change control per QA guidelines
- Participate in authoring, reviewing or revising documents governing dept practices relating to preventative maintenance such as, Safety, Cleanliness, QA, calibration, etc.
- Work with outside vendors and service providers to coordinate and oversee work that cannot be performed internally
- Work closely with all departments to maintain focus on KPI reporting/monitoring
- Understand the importance and impact of good sound maintenance practices on factory performance
- Support and maintain accurate CMMS/SCADA database for "anytime" audit readiness
- Vision system set up and use
- Troubleshoot and make decisions for basic maintenance of equipment and building within the scope of the position
Requirements
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- 2 Year Trade school with study in electro-mechanical equipment or equivalent amount of combined experience and education preferred
- A collaborative work outlook, hands-on flexible attitude, and strong communications skills-both verbal and written
- Must be able to work with little supervision on the manufacturing floor
- Fluent in Microsoft Office Software
- Experience writing procedures, policies, or work instructions in a quality-controlled environment
- Familiar with ISO 14001/18001 in a factory setting; knowledge of GMP and ISO 9000/ISO 13485 quality assurance systems preferred
- Understanding and practical experience with all types of control instrumentation (timing, temp, servo, automation, etc.)
- Ability to read logic, electrical schematics, and mechanical drawings; use of DVM & Oscilloscope preferred
- Capacity to understand electrical troubleshooting to board level required, component level a plus
- Proficient in electrical safety practices - NFPA/NEC guidelines
- IBM Maximo experience a plus
- Experience with CMMS or SCADA systems or other BMS controls preferred
- Understand the importance of calibration in support of proper equipment maintenance
- Experience with converting equipment a plus
- Familiarity with chemical process equipment and chemical processes is preferred
- Understanding of chemical dispensing systems & controls a plus
