This team includes experienced Oracle database administrators and developers with expertise in tools like OBIEE and GoldenGate. They build and manage ETL pipelines for business intelligence reports and work closely with Oracle Commercial Services. The team supports performance analysis, shares logs and data, and applies Oracle’s recommendations once approved. The Project Manager oversees daily work and reports to the EDW Program Manager at 9th Way Insignia.
The Project Manager position aligns as Level 4, Manager at 9th Way Insignia. A Manager at 9th Way Insignia accomplishes department objectives by managing staff and processes and evaluating department activities. A Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and overseeing the operations and fiscal health of a unit, division, or department.
- Provide day-to-day management, supervision, and coordination of a multidisciplinary technical team.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the EDW Optional Task and coordinate directly with the 9th Way Insignia EDW Program Manager.
- Ensure all activities align with contract requirements, deadlines, and quality standards outlined in the PWS and technical proposal.
- Establish and manage project schedules and task assignments using agile practices.
- Oversee the implementation of Oracle Commercial Services recommendations.
- Ensure timely delivery of migration readiness reports, optimization recommendations, and implementation roadmaps.
- Facilitate access to relevant data, performance logs, and system documentation for Oracle resources.
- Track progress of batch job optimizations, GoldenGate configuration updates, and ETL streamlining.
- Lead risk identification and mitigation planning.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure system performance metrics are met and deliverables are aligned with VA’s cloud readiness strategy.
- Provide regular communication and reporting to government customers and internal leadership.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred). An additional 8 years of relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of the degree.
- 5+ years of experience managing projects in Oracle database administration, performance optimization, and cloud migration.
- Ability to manage complex technical teams and coordinate with third-party service providers.
- Experience with Oracle platforms and tools including OBIEE, GoldenGate, and Informatica.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Tier 2/Moderate clearance. Existing clearances are preferred.
- Must be available to work onsite 8 hours a day, Monday through Friday at 1800 G Street NW, Washington, DC.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification
This position is onsite at 1800 G Street NW, Washington, DC. Must be onsite Monday through Friday for 8 hours per day.
