Job Description

The Finance Lead oversees the financial planning and analysis processes and requirements across the Aesthetics Toxin project budgets. Provides financial guidance in compliance with financial policies, prepares management analysis of actual vs. benchmark results, provides business decision support and leads key projects and initiatives to improve financial processes. The Finance Lead interacts with all levels of finance and business management. Provides required planning deliverables to meet R&D HQ FP&A requirements to adhere to AbbVie Corporate FP&A requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Manages all aspects of monthly, quarterly, Plan and LRP (Long Range Plan) and LBEs (Latest Business Estimate) as required for Aesthetics Toxin Budgets. Partners with business and proposes solutions to achieve budget within guidelines and to operate within approved budget.
  • Completes month end close for Clinical Grants, Development Sciences & Device functions (Ross Accounting for Clinical and accruals for other functions). Manage and handle Ross Close Outs for Database Lock studies.
  • Understands monthly results and both prepares and reviews meaningful monthly management reporting packages with businesses.
  • Provides relevant variance analysis for each planning cycle and develops meaningful management reporting schedules and ensures accuracy and predictability of results and key metrics.
  • Leads financial discussions with Aesthetic and Finance leadership providing insights into the components of project spend and implications of changes to enable informed decision-making.
  • Liaisons for Internal Audit and SOX controls for any spend associated with Aesthetics Toxin teams as well as ensuring key controls are adhered too to ensure proper financial & control compliance.

 

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required.
  • CPA or MBA a plus
  • Minimum 7+ years of progressive and/or related experience
  • Self-starter with ability to operate independently, drive processes, identify and implement process improvements, establish and adjust priorities to achieve objectives and operate with speed and agility.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written), with all levels of management and including the ability to listen well and to influence others that do not report directly.
  • Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and aptitude for continuous improvement and change.
  • Proficient in SAP, BPC and Excel.
  • Strong financial, analytical and problem solving skill.

Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.   • This job is eligible to participate in our short-term incentive programs. ​
