Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute tasks to support dvlpmt & evaluation of novel small molecules for clinical drug candidates in oncology.
  • Perform cell culture & assays incl: DNA/RNA/protein purification, siRNA/CRISPR knockdowns, Lentiviral transfections, immunoprecipitation, WES, western blot, ELISA, MSD, HTRF, quantitative PCR, protein degradation & colorimetric assays.
  • Collect, analyze, & summarize data for presentations & reports.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

Must have a Master's  in Cellular or Molecular Biology, Cancer Biology,  Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmacology, or related field & 2 yrs of exp as a Scientist: 

(i) performing (a) molecular cellular biology techniques in cell culture, (b) western blotting, immunoprecipitation, WES, or ELISA, (c) DNA/RNA isolation, RT-PCR, separation techniques for primary cells, & (d) gene expression analysis;

(ii) Developing, optimizing, & troubleshooting cell-based assays; &

(iii) communicating scientific rationale, methodology, & results in written & oral formats.

Of exp req'd, must also have 1 yr exp:

(i) manipulating gene/protein expression in cancer cell types (such as transduction of primary cells, siRNA or CRISPR knockdown); &

(ii) Using biological data analysis software tools such as GraphPad Prism & computer applications such as MS Word, MS Excel & MS PowerPoint.

Experience may be gained concurrently.

Salary Range: $125,508.24 - $138,500.00 per year.
