The Takeda Summer Internship Program is a 12-week experience where you will sharpen your skills through a variety of activities at a state-of-the-art pharmaceutical manufacturing site. At the end of the internship, you will have gained valuable experience at a top pharma company, an in-depth understanding of concepts taught in school, and a network to help you develop as a professional in the industry. This role is designed to challenge interns and contribute to their future careers.
Department Opportunities:
The following departments are offering internships at our Above Site locations:
Pharmacovigilance and Medical Quality- ensure adherence to good documentation practices for regulated documents through OC and maintenance of quality records, and development of relevant training materials.
Quality Compliance Systems- Support documentation, learning and QMS-related activities for the global R&D Quality, Compliance and Systems Team. May also support additional R&D Quality, Compliance and Systems teams including Supplier Quality, Data Systems Quality, and Inspection Management.
Clinical Quality Audit Operations- This remote role will work on Takeda’s audit program, audit tracker, audit trending, etc.
Global Systems Vaccines Quality – you will develop quality share point page which includes updating digital interfaces (links to digital documents, creation of digital forms), additionally the intern will support operational projects (stability data management, dashboarding, and other projects as assigned).
Oncology External Supply Small Molecule Stability - Learning to build a RPA BOT and then developing a BOT to automate a manual task that currently exists on the team, such as updating the Supplier Quality database from the existing metrics spreadsheet. Learning how to perform statistical analysis for an Annual Product Quality Report and then performing one of these analyses.. Verifying datasets in the laboratory information management system
EHS- The Takeda Environmental Sustainability intern will work on a variety of different projects directly supporting the Planet Pillar of the company’s overall Purpose-led Sustainability strategy. Reporting to the company’s Environmental Sustainability Disclosure and Engagement Lead and collaborating with the broader Planet team, the intern will support the company’s overall measurement, reporting and communications efforts within its climate change, natural resource conservation, and sustainability by design programs.
Timeline of Program:
Two start dates: May 15th or June 26th
Expected completion of the internship is August or September, depending on start date.

Minimum Requirements:
Must be pursuing an Associate’s, Bachelor's, or Master degree
3.0 GPA or higher
Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift, push, pull and carry up to 25 lbs.
Combination of sedentary work and standing/walking observation
Work Environment:
Depending on the department, you may work in controlled environments requiring special gowning. Gowning requirements include a wearing protective clothing over the head, face, hands, feet and body. No make-up, jewelry, contact lenses, nail polish or artificial fingernails may be worn in the manufacturing environment.
May work in a cold, wet environment
Can work several shifts, including weekends.
Work several shifts and overtime may be necessary.
May be asked to work in a confined area.
Some Clean Room and cool/hot storage conditions.
