This FT position is the principle point of contact for advising students in the College of General Studies. Advisors manage academic advising for students, assisting, and guiding them toward program completion and graduation. This includes teaching students how to navigate a BU degree and providing holistic counseling to students with diverse academic and career goals. Advisors counsel students on academic policies, procedures, and requirements. They monitor student academic progress and assist them in making appropriate educational choices and decisions. They recommend appropriate interventions for students in jeopardy and assess and triage complex student situations. They assist in the coordination and development of programs related to student satisfaction and retention. Position may require that you work in London for two weeks in the summer.
