Responsible for evaluating, approving and implementing Graduate College forms including Program of Study substitutions, Admission to Candidacy, Reinstatement, Change of Major, and Thesis/Dissertation Forms. These forms are submitted by graduate students, faculty advisors, and department chairs.
- Ensure that detailed and accurate records of graduate students are maintained in digital format as students are approved for graduation each semester.
- Update records in BANNER and Degree Works in a timely manner.
Maintain the integrity of the Graduate Faculty Database. Ensure all graduate classes have qualified graduate faculty teaching them. Maintain membership renewals and additions. Review and process all requests for Fast-Track enrollment and Undergraduate taking Graduate Credit enrollment. Coordinate with Records for student registration. Oversee and approve Graduate Assistant hiring documents including approving the PAF and offer letter. Ensure student information is saved and input into spreadsheet. Effectively communicate with students, faculty, and staff advising them of options, policies, procedures and proper routes for problem resolution on a daily basis. Coordinate the eight GSEC meetings each year, take minutes, organize requests, manage distribution to committee members. Supports graduate admissions as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of four years of clerical or related experience OR a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with two years of related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Clerical experience within a university setting is preferred. Good communication and people skills. Knowledge of the Banner system preferred but not required.
Work Hours
Typical office hours are from 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM.

Salary
Commensurate with education and experience. Clerical & Support Pay Grade 7.
