Account Management Lead

We're looking for an Account Management Lead (North America) to join our fast growing Wise Platform team in North America.

Your job will be to lead our regional Account Management team, supporting them throughout the commercial process to overcome blockers and ultimately exceed our targets to grow revenues from our live partnerships. Our partners include companies like Mercury, Google Pay or Brex. They lleverage our API to offer Wise's much-loved products through their own infrastructure. This role is a unique opportunity to reach millions of new customers, transform the international payments experience for them and have an impact on Wise's mission.

This is not a standard account management team - we're looking for people who love the challenge of working with complex institutions to unlock growth opportunities and enable more customers to save when moving money. You will be working with the team on intricate tech integrated partnerships, navigating partner solutions and commercials, working through a range of regulations and with an array of stakeholders.

You'll receive a competitive package including a starting salary range of $170,000 - $220,000 based on experience + Restricted Stock Units (RSUs) in a profitable company + a wide array of other benefits! (more info below )

About the role:

The role is based in our Austin office, but you will also work closely with the global VP of Sales based in London. You will also work closely with the global Account Management and Customer Success teams based around the world. You will collaborate with other functions across Wise Platform and the wider Wise organization, including our product management and engineering teams, compliance & legal, delivery and project management as well as business development.

This role will give you the opportunity to:

Shape the Wise Platform AM team in North America. You will work with the team to set the strategy and targets for the AM function in the region, whilst enabling them to define the roadmap and plans to achieve the objectives.

Own the P&L of a growing part of the business. You will be responsible for the growth of our portfolio in North America, having the autonomy to define areas of focus with the team.

Be a hands on sales lead. You will work with the team to idenfity upsell and cross-sell opportunities across the partner portfolio, build relationships with key stakeholder externally and internally as well as support them overcome blockers, whether commercial or product.

Advocate for our partners. You will contribute to the development of our product suite and features in North America, being the voice of our partners internally, ensuring that key asks are prioritised accordingly.

About you:

  • You have 2-5 years of managerial experience scaling a high-performing commercial team in the account management space (payments or fintech experience is a plus)
  • You're experienced in building and maintaining relationships with a range of stakeholders of all sizes – from CEOs, to heads of compliance, technology, risk and innovation
  • You have a track record of successfully growing accounts you've worked with yourself to generate increased revenues
  • You are hands on, not afraid to roll-up your sleeves, get on partner calls, listen to their feedback and work with the team on devising a plan to achieve meet partners' expectations, whilst achieving our objectives
  • You are passionate about high growth busineses and have a desire to contribute significantly to our overarching Wise Platform mission
  • You are customer-focused. At Wise, they always come first, so you need to be enthusiastic about helping our customers and delivering on our mission
  • You're creative in finding solutions when things are blocked. You'll have a number of ways to quickly reach agreements that work for us, the partner and customers
