The Account Success team partners with local market directors, account managers, Partners, and senior leadership in growing Control Risks’ business. The candidate will support and enhance business development and account management as a member of the broader Sales Support function in North America (United States and Canada) with a specific focus on certain existing accounts.
The team supports the business in achieving objectives by engaging at all stages of the sales cycle proactively and by request to maintain client communication and connectedness, to open dialogue, to understand developments, and to provide tracking and follow up.
Additionally, the candidate will play a key role in client relationship management, acting as account manager and point of contact for specific clients. The career development pathway of this position is toward senior account and market management, or client-facing risk and compliance consulting.
Role tasks and responsibilities:
- Cultivate and nurture stakeholder relationships with identified clients to aid growth in accounts and to deepen and broaden our partnerships.
- Serve as a point of contact for identified clients, to provide on-going relationship management
- Provide high-volume outreach and support for identified clients, leveraging all appropriate channels of communication and, in particular, Control Risks’ extensive thought leadership content
- Create qualified meeting opportunities for expert practitioners with high-value target clients
- Liaise with colleagues throughout the business to maintain momentum of the sales cycle from marketing, prospecting, lead generation and qualification to account follow-up and continued business development.
- Specific focus on gathering market intelligence to guide business development in line with company and various team objectives
- Push key service line priorities to identified clients.
- Support and facilitate administration of a Managed Account Program, as well as strategic sales programs
- Execute sales of commoditized solutions and services.
- Address client inquiries in a timely, effective and professional manner.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (post-graduate degree in a relevant field a plus)
- Expert user of Microsoft suite of business tools (Dynamics 365, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI, etc.) Adobe, SharePoint, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, etc.
- Understanding of or experience in the risk consultancy sector, or a degree in a relevant field
- Business experience, may include internships
- Experience with account management or client-facing coordination and communications
- Experience providing sales support to senior colleagues
- Knowledge of business processes and systems used by professional services firms
- Working knowledge of account management principles
- Use of CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems in marketing automation
- Experience undertaking and producing client research
- Experience using business data analytic tools (Power BI, etc.)

The base salary range for this position in New York City is $65,000-$75,000 per year. Exact compensation offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This information is provided per the NYC Wage Transparency Law.
