We’ve developed a uniquely creative culture and we are looking to add an Accounting/Finance Intern to our team.

If numbers are your thing, and you are looking to increase your skills in financial management, we can offer you the opportunity to understand inventory, accounting procedures, cash flow projections and reporting. You would work alongside our colleagues to learn all aspects of giftable distribution business accounting procedures and policies.

Briefly describe the position responsibilities: The accounting intern will shadow and assist in daily and monthly reports; work on finance projects; understand inventory, accounts receivable and accounts payable; reconcile general ledger accounts, understand income statement and balance sheet; help prepare cash flow projection and net operating income statement projection.

Research: Performs diligent and extensive investigation into account/invoice discrepancies.

Follow Up: Ability to increase the effectiveness of a previous action and ensure its completion.
Experience and Skills:

Education/Experience: Minimum of High School diploma &/or general education degree. In order to be eligible for the DEMDACO Internship Program, interns must be full time students actively working towards a graduate or undergraduate degree at an accredited college or university. Local students may have the opportunity to continue to work part-time throughout the school year if their schedule, and our workload, allows.

Language Ability: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business forms and procedures. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from customers and fellow employees.

Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute ratio and percent. Ability to reconcile numerical transactions.
