We’re actively seeking a talented Accounts Payable Lead to join our Accounts Payable Department in Newport Beach, CA. This role can be on-site or hybrid.
We're looking for an energetic Accounts Payable Lead to join our Finance/Accounting team. This position will be hands on and responsible for managing Accounts Payable operation in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while improving existing processes to drive efficiency. You will interact and coordinate with colleagues across all divisions to ensure accurate and timely disbursements, invoices entries are properly allocated with sufficient evidence in compliance with our internal controls. The Accounts Payable Lead will be responsible for researching issues and discrepancies between invoices and purchase orders. You will be a driver in identifying and resolving issues by working closely with our Enterprise Procurement Team. This role is also responsible for data input and management using our automated systems, generating reports, conducting specialized research projects and responding to inquiries. The Accounts Payable Lead ensures the team’s work is complete, accurate and compliant with our internal policies and procedures, accounting guidelines and best practices.
How you'll make an impact:
Perform and understand all accounts payable functions and procurement: matching, batching, coding, entering, posting
Perform quality checks when approving invoices for payment, receive a high volume of invoices, accurately code and process for approval and payment
Subject matter expert related to validating and preparing suppliers setup between procurement and supplier master ERP system
Apply your leadership skills and creativity to manager initiatives and motivate team members
Collaborate with the Enterprise Procurement department on supplier requests, invoice/PO discrepancies
Manage Corporate Billings and journal entries from divisions for general ledger posting
Manage the process of Unclaimed Property reconciliation and escheatment of checks
Reconciliation of outstanding checks, and other unreconciled payment methods
Monitor and validate systems interface batches for accuracy and address any interface issues
Monitor automation processes through OCR functionality
Prepare and process pay cycles for multiple divisions, payment types and manage the handling of enclosures and the trial register
Assist on 1099 Reporting
Evaluate and perform system implementations, new processes, and testing participation
Support and train new employees in the Accounts Payable department
Identify and contribute to process improvements and create/maintain workflow efficiencies
Ensure company policies, processes, and procedures are clearly defined, updated, and documented
Ad-hoc reporting and analysis
The experience you'll bring:
5+ years of previous accounts payable experience, accounting concept understanding
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Acute attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to develop a cadence of daily workflow to ensure tasks and responsibilities are met
Resolve issues, serve as a resource in troubleshooting complex matters, and ensure that problems are resolved or escalated accordingly
Professional ethics with the ability to always respect and maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information
Ability to manage competing priorities with deadlines, without sacrificing quality

Base Pay Range:
The base pay range noted provides a basis to determine the appropriate offer dependent upon several factors including but not limited to geographic location, experience, skills, education and pay equity. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.
$25.14 - $31.42 - $39.28
