Mobile Device Security Engineer

Job Description:

We’re actively seeking a talented Mobile Device Security Engineer to join our enterprise Endpoint Engineering Team in Newport Beach, CA. This role can be hybrid or fully remote.

As a Mobile Device Security Engineer, you’ll play a key role in Pacific Life’s growth and long-term success by enabling our associates to stay connected, productive, and secure while working on their mobile device. You will work with business and IT teams to understand their needs, while bringing your expertise to the table to deliver a secure, and frictionless mobile experience. You will fill a new role that sits on a team of people in the Corporate division. Your colleagues will include other endpoint engineers, security engineers, and application leaders.

How you will make an impact:
Build, support and maintain the mobile device management environment including operational, security, and compliant device configurations supporting iOS, iPadOS and other BYOD operating systems
Partner across the organization to identify, evaluate, and resolve issues related to the use of mobile devices
Responsible for the successful delivery of projects that improve the security, reliability, compliance, and automation of mobile device management
Configure various tools, systems and scripts used to manage and automate the mobile device lifecycle
Develop and refine operational metrics, key risk indicators and improve the systems used to track the health of our mobile devices
Assist and mentor teammates through knowledge sharing and mentorship

The experience you will bring:
5+ years progressive work experience managing and supporting endpoint devices
3+ years enterprise experience with Microsoft Intune, or related technologies
Proficient in mobile device administration, including areas such as mobile app administration, conditional access policies, configuration profiles, and compliance policies
Possess a growth mindset and passion for learning
Strong communication skills - deliver clear and concise communication

What will make you stand out:
Proven success managing endpoints in a large environment
Experience with Apple DEP and Apple Business Manager
Experience supporting automation through API usage and/or scripting
Experience with scripting and/or code-based solutions (Python, Bash, PowerShell)

The base pay range for this position is between $93,600 -- $117,000 -- $158,000

Base Pay Range:
The base pay range noted provides a basis to determine the appropriate offer dependent upon several factors including but not limited to geographic location, experience, skills, education and pay equity. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.
