Administrative Assistant

Job Summary:

The Administrative Assistant will work closely with the office team to perform various clerical and administrative duties to support the organization.


Responsibilities:

  • Answers phones, directs calls, greets visitors.
  • Assist the President in clerical duties and problem solving as needed.
  • Assist in the hiring processes by coordinating interviews, running background checks, and facilitating new hire orientation.
  • Build and maintain driver qualification files and the internal database with current driver status, license information, and DOT compliance information.
  • Manage driver logs to ensure timely and accurate completion, as well as compliance with Federal DOT regulations.
  • Assist in customer service, dispatch and other operational areas as needed.
  • Other tasks as required.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong logistical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, opportunity filled work environment.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Three to five years of experience in an administrative role.
  • Experience with DOT, FMCSA and ELD rules and regulations preferred.


Working Conditions:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
