Northrop Grumman Strategic Space Systems is seeking an Administrative Assistant to Vice President to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The position will be located in Redondo Beach, CA.
In this position you will work closely with senior executives, customers and government representatives, both internally and externally. The ideal candidate will have outstanding verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization and with outside organizations/customers; the ability to protect and maintain confidentiality; and the ability to execute tasks and projects independently. To be successful you must be well-organized, detail oriented, proactive, self-motivated and an exceptional team player. Must be able to work with minimal supervision, be comfortable setting priorities and making decisions to ensure the vice president can fulfill their obligations. Must provide excellent follow-through, exercise good judgment, demonstrate flexibility and agility, manage schedule conflicts and prioritize multiple tasks with competing deadlines.

The selected candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:
Serves as a focal point for all interactions with the vice president
Serves as a focal point for the organization and communicates with internal and external customers and executives, professionally representing the corporation and organization.
Performs office functions such arranging meetings/conferences, preparing material and setting up for meetings; answering phone calls and making proper referrals; receiving, referring, or answering email.
Assists in maintaining the organization's collaboration electronic sites, and department and programmatic folders.
Follows up on open actions to ensure deadlines are met, and gathers, compiles, and reports on information relevant to supervisor’s assignments.
Makes domestic and international travel arrangements and prepares expense reports.
Assists in event planning and activities of major organization initiatives and reviews.
Operates independently to meet requirements of leadership team and offers expertise to assist other functions within the organization.
Provides operational support for special projects; researches and obtains information, helps plan and ensure follow-through of assigned tasks.
The selected individual will be adept in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite and other software productivity tools and have the ability to work with minimal supervision while exercising good judgment, demonstrating flexibility and agility, prioritizing multiple tasks with competing deadlines, managing schedule conflicts and providing excellent follow through.
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED with six (6) years of additional education and/or experience; or Bachelor's Degree with 2 years of experience
Experience with organizing/maintaining/deconflicting schedules, meetings, and travel arrangements
Experience in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel
Experience in reviewing and editing written material for correct spelling and grammar
Active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain SCI Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree with experience as a Senior Administrative Assistant
Experience in Concur/ITRIP, I-Buy, NG My IT, SAP
Active Top Secret and SCI clearance
