We are looking for an Administrative Assistant-Learning & Development who will be responsible for providing administrative and logistical support to the learning and development team.

This is a great opportunity for an engaged professional to support general office management and coordination including ordering office supplies, processing invoices, creating purchase orders, coordinating team travel, room booking and document control.

Reporting to the L&D Manager and working with the learning and development team, you will

  • Create reports, tracking spreadsheets, enter data, and perform other duties as requested.
  • Coordinate events, meetings, and conference calls.
  • Manage and own the scheduling and coordination of all training center rooms
  • Use SAP to process department invoices and ensure timely payment.
  • Coordinate and support the logistics and scheduling of new hire onboarding –
    • includes ordering catering, booking conference rooms, scheduling facilitators, maintaining inventory of supplies, coordination of PPE, etc.
  • Complete and submit expense reports using expense management software
  • Coordinate travel schedules and manage travel bookings

What You’ll Bring

To succeed in role, you will have:

  • A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
  • Excellent computer skills with high competence in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SAP
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments with appropriate prioritization, and data entry
  • Detailed oriented and sense of urgency.
  • Proven experience as a self-driven, reliable and proactive Administrative Assistant for at least 3 years.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid state driver's license

Where you will be working

Our Kennecott mine is a world-class, fully integrated copper mining operation, including a concentrator, smelter and refinery, located just outside Salt Lake City, Utah, in the United States. We produce copper, precious metals including gold and silver, molybdenum and sulfuric acid. Kennecott has been mining and processing minerals from the rich ore body of the Bingham Canyon Mine since 1903 and is one of the top producing mines in the world, comprising approximately 11 percent of U.S. annual copper production.
