Administrative Officer

The DNP Administrative Officer will oversee administrative and organizational operations for the self-supporting DNP degree program in the UCSF School of Nursing. Administrative activities will include oversight of programmatic financial and strategic planning functions, IT and facilities services, direct support for both program leadership and program faculty, and student services in collaboration with campus, school and program supports.

The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.

Please note: The compensation ranges listed online for roles not covered by a bargaining unit agreement are very wide, however a job offer will typically fall in the range of 80% - 120% of the established mid-point. An offer will take into consideration the experience of the final candidate AND the current salary level of individuals working at UCSF in a similar role.

For roles covered by a bargaining unit agreement, there will be specific rules about where a new hire would be placed on the range.

Department Description

The Department of Family Health Care Nursing (FHCN) is one of four departments in the School of Nursing (SON). FHCN prepares students to receive Master’s degrees in the five specialty areas of Family Nurse Practitioner, Midwifery / Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner, Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, Acute Care Nurse Practitioner and Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, and PhDs in Nursing Science

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related area and 1 or more years of related work experience; and / or equivalent experience / training.
  • Ability to use sound judgment in respond to issues and concerns
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all levels of staff verbally and in writing
  • Solid organizational skills and ability of multi-task with demanding timeframes
  • Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of common organization-specific and other computer application program
