AdOps Engineer / Python, Javascript Developer

Remote work, your work day must overlap Eastern Time Zone (UTC -4) by at least 3 hours. Optional in office for those living in/near NYC.

Job Description
As an AdOps Engineer, you will use our and improve our in-house tools and help deliver the company's products to our clients. We expect that as you become familiar with our business, you will help improve existing systems within our agile framework that adapts to quickly evolving business requirements.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Use our existing procedures, and products to produce datasets for our clients and partners.
• Resolve issues raised by clients and partners. Experience with Jira based ticketing systems is a plus.
• Create and update our documentation and playbooks. Experience with Confluence is a plus.
• Playing a key role in our delivering our products in a timely and accurate manner
• Contributing to all layers of our technology stack including creating python backend services, large databases, cloud APIs and web-based user interfaces
• Working with and supporting other technical team members including first and 2nd level support escalations.
• Liaising with business teams to create and automate robust systems that deliver the core value components of our business to our clients
• Liaising with technical teams to document, troubleshoot and increase operational efficiency of the company's infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of programming concepts and object-oriented programming
• Fluency in Python and Javascript.
• Strong knowledge of web programming specifics and experience in building web-based applications,
• Experience working with both relational databases and large NOSQL datasets (dynamodb, athena / presto a plus)
• Expertise with client side javascript and HTML based UI development is a plus.
• Experience in cloud computing. Experience with AWS / Azure is a plus
• Experience in using source code control systems, particularly Git.
• Strong Linux skills (ssh, bash, command line utilities)
• Experience with web services, especially for facilitating interaction among multiple systems
• Exposure to systems and/or network automation and monitoring (a plus)
• Good verbal and written communication skills and fluency in English

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
