The Customer Success Engineering Team is Client-Facing, ensuring that technical solutions for our product's installation, configuration, and customization are seamless and extraordinary for client implementation. You:

The Advanced Customer Success Engineer is an experienced veteran and professional developer, who has not only worked in a large variety of environments and tools but can provide analysis on the pros and cons of those environments and tools. You will write efficient and high performance code but will also work as a guide and mentor to other software engineers. You will need to be able to read and understand others' code, review it, and provide positive constructive feedback on how that engineer can improve their practice.

In addition you will:

  • Split time between multiple projects
  • Attend daily standup meetings and other sprint ceremonies
  • Review user story scope, definition and will confirm level of effort estimates
  • Manage project teams capacity and will review the results of that work. In this role you will spend < 30% of your time coding for Customers' solutions
  • Lead the project teams in the direction of our best practices.
  • Work directly with our clients, to identify and correct issues, flesh out requirements or to provide guidance and advice.
  • Address escalations for issues and may be required to participate in support of client implementations

Your Day to Day:

  • Work with Project Managers to scope Customer Projects
  • Provide guidance on Enterprise solution sizing
  • Architect Custom Enterprise solutions
  • Work with Engineering Managers to ensure proper team capacity
  • Write performant Java and Database code to progress the project goals and initiatives.
  • Review others' Code for common issues and provide constructive feedback.
  • Review, Refine and Confirm requirements and ensure efficient feature development.
  • Develop and enforce industry standard best practices.
  • Attend and participate in client and project meetings as needed.
  • Ensure proper feature deployment or product upgrades.
  • Provide Second Tier support for clients that are live.

You Have & You Know-how:

  • 10+ years professional experience
  • 5+ years Java development experience
  • 2+ years SQL database experience
  • 2+ years NoSQL database experience
  • Experience with Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Java application performance tuning techniques

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with Server technologies: RabbitMQ, Kubernetes, Kafka, Spark, Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana
  • Agile Project Management Experience
  • Team Leadership - Lead a small team of engineers
  • Mentoring and Coaching Experience

The Customer Success Team is responsible for delivering our product to our clients. This includes education, configuration, solution development, and risk strategy to enable our clients to address their pain points. We collaborate with our clients to ensure they have the right solution, build out a strategy and training plan for them, and then support them through each phase of our client lifecycle.
