Summary:
The Data Scientist supports the Chief Data Scientist and other Data Scientists with the design, development, automation, build out, analysis, application, and assessment of the data science models for clients.
Responsibilities:
- Build, validate, and troubleshoot data science models using internal tools and metrics.

Take ownership of the data science engine and continue its development.

Be the liaison between the product team and data science team for engine development.

Collaborate in designing and improving the functionality in the Othot platform.

Research open modeling questions and problems and suggest solutions.

Run experiments to show efficacy of modeling changes and improvements.

Contribute to client work such as reporting on their current state using internal tools.

Communicate data science results and insights to other Othot team members and our clients.

Automate or help automate as many manual data science activities as possible.

Help maintain the data science infrastructure.
Position Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or higher in statistics, data science, computer science, engineering, or a related technical field from an accredited institution.

A master’s degree or PhD is preferred.

At least 3 years of industry experience in solving data science problems using Python is preferred.

Comprehensive track record of data science modeling in the real world.

Strong proficiency in Python and libraries such as NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn.

Ability to apply independent judgment for research and troubleshooting.

Technically minded and familiar with tools like git and a Unix-like environment.

Capacity to work independently and/or as part of a team.

Ability to perform research and communicate insights to stakeholders.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, detail oriented, and an entrepreneurial mindset.
