Job Summary:
This position will work as part of a cardiovascular team to care for acute and critically ill, Heart Failure patients in a dynamic academic practice. In this role as a Cardiovascular Medicine, inpatient, Heart Failure APP, you will work alongside attending cardiologists, other cardiology APPs, and cardiology nurses in inpatient hospital care in Winston Salem. This role will focus on Advanced Heart Failure patients with opportunities to participate in educational and scholarly activities that elevate an academic clinical environment. Though APPs in this role will collaborate with and share all patients with attending physicians, autonomy is both encouraged and fostered, as our cardiology APPs will learn to manage acute and chronic conditions with increasing independent expertise.
The schedule is rotating days, 12 hour shifts, 7am-7pm, with some nights and weekends required.
Requirements:
1. Graduation from an accredited NP or PA Program
2. Licensed, or eligible, for North Carolina as an NP or PA
3. Current American Heart Assoc. BLS and ACLS certification preferred
4. APP post-graduate experience is strongly preferred. Clinical experience, inpatient or outpatient,--especially within the cardiovascular field --preferred.
