Advisor – Technical Writer

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate great organizational skills, work efficiently under minimal supervision, be able to deliver results that meet or exceed quality standard expectations, be a strong team player, and actively participate in a fast-paced and challenging global environment. The Technical Writer will be responsible for performing writing tasks for technical reports, documents, such as user manuals, installation manuals, help documents, and tutorials. Candidate must be well versed in preparing reports for management review purposes.

What you’ll achieve

You will:

• Edit and refine technical security assessment reports and accompanying materials
• Develop and implement customized technical documents; gather information about needs, objectives, functions, features, and requirements from cross functional security teams
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and process maps which includes writing, reviewing, and obtaining approval for all standard operating procedures and other operational content in the department; uses business process maps to develop procedures, models, and operational processes
• Develop and maintain program marketing materials and informational content for internal customers
• Coordinate with different stakeholders to understand and identify gaps between original business process and documented process and Report on the status of document maintenance tasks as well as administration of internal SharePoint sites to include access management
• Continuously work to drive improvement in document structure, formatting, and grammatical form and participate in information security projects as requested to document internal controls and other relevant technical documentation as required

Essential Requirements

• 2+ years of Technical Writing background
• Bachelor's Degree in English, Marketing, Business Communications, or other related fields or equivalent professional experience
• Must possess the ability to shape advanced technical cybersecurity reports for different audiences
• Excellent grammar, written, and verbal communication skills in English
• Team player, must be able to work with a variety of personalities, establish and maintain effective collaborative relationships

Desirable Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Experience:

• Experience developing and editing technical reports, presentations and documentation for Cyber Security assessments or Information Technology processes
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, e.g., Visio, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and user experience with tools such as Plextrac, JIRA, Confluence
• Ability to effectively prioritize, manage, and meet deliverable deadlines with very high attention to detail and excellent organization skills
• Customer-oriented with the ability to multitask between multiple on-going projects and function with limited direction through ambiguity and complexity
• 1+ years of Information Security experience
