AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented Building Inspector for construction inspection services to oversee the construction a new tunnel and associated structures between the Kensico Reservoir and the Catskill/Delaware Ultraviolet Light Disinfection (CDUV) Facility for NYCDEP situated in Westchester County, New York.
Job Responsibilities
The Building Inspector is a full-time on-site role. The Inspector will be responsible for conducting routine inspections of building infrastructure, identifying Architectural defects and potential hazards, and documenting contract compliance. The Inspector will also be responsible for producing detailed reports and communicating findings to management.
The Inspector will have the primary responsibility for assuring quality of the construction. Additional responsibilities include:

You will collaborate closely with the contractor’s team, ensuring that every phase of the project runs smoothly. Additionally, your expertise in identifying non-conforming work, tracking progress, and verifying contractor documentation will be invaluable. We’re looking for someone with a high school diploma and six years of inspection experience in heavy civil projects. Your OSHA training and NICET certification will also be essential.
