Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Construction Intern to be based in New York, NY. 

This position is expected to begin in Summer 2025.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Performs a variety of assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities, requiring application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria in carrying out tasks.
  • Limited exercise of judgment is required on details of work and in making preliminary selections and adaptations of science alternatives.
  • Performs entry level work.
  • Follows instructions to accomplish task assigned by senior staff. 
  • Meets required schedules while producing quality work.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management or in another related field, and must have completed at least 2 of years of study. Candidates who have recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree and plan to continue with the Master’s degree are eligible to apply for these positions.  Recent graduates must have been enrolled in their bachelor’s degree in the most previous school term with an interest in pursuing an advanced degree in the same or similar discipline at the conclusion of the internship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

Additional Information

  • Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
  • Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.
  • This position will be assigned to NY Metro Construction Services Group and will work off-site in a project field office.
