Job Description

AECOM Hunt has exciting opportunities for Civil, Structural and Mechanical Project Managers for our state-of-the-art construction project in Chicago, IL.

  • Provides overall management administration to project and assists in establishing project specific objectives and policies. 
  • Provides technical direction and guidance to subordinate managers, enforces company and project policies, maintains close client interface, and ensures all facets of the project are constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule through subordinate managers and supervisors. 
  • Position has significant profit/loss responsibility for assigned construction project.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • BA/BS Engineering, Construction Management or related curriculum and 6 years of construction management experience in Civil, Structural or Mechanical, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Preferred Requirements: 

  • Construction Management experience in the field of airport construction.
  • Civil, Structural or Mechanical Construction Project Management experience
  • Experience with various components of mega-construction projects.
  • Construction experience for a large general contractor
  • Experience with CMAR (construction manager at risk)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams)
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.

  • This position may include relocation.
  • In order to receive a security badge at the client worksite to enable access to secure portions of the facility for which you are being hired to perform services, you may be required to pass the client's security screening process, which will include, but may not be limited to, Homeland Security background check and fingerprinting. Should this be required it will be done after you have commenced employment, and your participation in that process and a pass rating by the client are both conditions of your continued employment by AECOM.
