Compressor Service Technician
Our client, a leading provider of gas engine compressor solutions, is seeking a skilled Service Technician II to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of gas engine compressors and related equipment at customer sites. This position offers the opportunity to utilize your technical expertise while contributing to the smooth operation of critical industrial equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Maintenance:
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on gas engine compressors and associated equipment.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
Conduct major overhauls and repairs, including installation and removal of equipment.
Utilize OEM software to interpret performance data and optimize equipment operation.
Field Support:
Provide on-site technical assistance to customers.
Identify and address equipment inefficiencies and potential problems.
Complete detailed service reports and documentation.
Training & Leadership:
Train and mentor new field technicians.
Assist in equipment start-up and commissioning.
Fill in as supervisor or lead technician when needed.
Safety & Compliance:
Adhere to all company and client safety protocols.
Participate in safety training programs and job safety analyses.
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or GED required. Vocational school or associate's degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years of field experience with gas engine compressors or similar equipment.
Skills:
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
Proficiency with OEM software and diagnostic tools.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Certifications:
Valid driver's license.
Successful completion of OSHA-required respiratory questionnaire.
