Job Description

AECOM is seeking a highly motivated Entry-Level Structural Engineer to support the AECOM Transportation, Structures Department (Bridges and Walls) in Philadelphia, PA.

AECOM is searching for candidates who can be a role model, client-focused, impactful, and decisive. Entry-level technical new hires are eligible to participate in AECOM's Graduate Development Program (GDP), a program designed to support assimilation into the organization, help with technical development planning toward licensure (or other early technical milestones), and create a foundation of knowledge necessary for future career success.

This position is expected to begin in Spring/Summer 2025.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Builds analytic and design skills.
  • Conducts engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
  • Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
  • Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
  • Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.
  • Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification.
  • Master's Degree with Structural Engineering concentration.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation, or other civil engineering related software.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Additional Information

  • Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.
  • Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
  • This position requires a hybrid work schedule which includes in office work in Philadelphia, PA. The selected candidate must be available to work in Philadelphia on a scheduled basis.
