AECOM’s US West Region Water Business Line is actively seeking a Senior Project Manager – Water/Wastewater based out of the Houston, TX office to provide leadership for water/wastewater projects within the Houston area. Selected candidate will support technical design, marketing, strategy, sale, and execution of complex water infrastructure projects within the greater Texas region.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Serves as Project Manager for medium to large water/wastewater treatment and pump station projects.
Provides technical leadership for projects from the planning phase through construction on all aspects of multi-disciplinary projects.
Demonstrates experience in conventional and advanced water and/or wastewater treatment technologies and alternate delivery projects.
Competent in all aspects of project delivery, including scope, schedule, finance, and quality.
Prepares technical memoranda, planning studies and final design calculations, plans and specifications.
Coordinated with other discipline leads, clients, consultants, and agencies in management and implementation of projects.
Assists in identifying opportunities, development of proposals and statement of qualifications.
Builds and maintain relationships with clients and industry professionals.
Actively participates in water industry specific conferences and professional organizations.
Provides technical direction and mentorship for junior staff.
Minimum Qualifications:
BA/BS + 10 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Professional Engineer License in Texas.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's (MS) in Engineering. Civil, Chemical or Environmental Engineering preferred.
20+ years water/wastewater industry experience.
Proven experience in Project Delivery and Business Development.
Experience working with clients in the Southeast Texas area.
Extensive knowledge of the local Houston water/wastewater business.
Experience with alternative delivery including Progressive Design Build and Construction Manager at Risk.
Willingness to travel (10% of the time).
