Job Description

AECOM, the #1 ENR-ranked firm in Water is seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to join our team as a Vice President Division Manager in California. Reporting to the West Water Regional Business Line Leader, this role is pivotal in driving the strategic vision for the business while upholding our core values of "People, Clients, Protect the Business."

The selected candidate will be responsible for the leadership of a major water/wastewater conveyance division covering the state of California to support the procurement and delivery of large-scale municipal water and/or wastewater projects.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Oversee the successful execution of a portfolio of water and wastewater projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Manage client satisfaction and relationships, ensuring exceptional service delivery.
  • Build and lead a functional team of operations and growth leaders to drive project delivery and business growth.
  • Deliver sustainable infrastructure solutions that make a significant impact in the field of water and wastewater infrastructure.
  • Meet/exceed Net Service Revenues (NSR), Gross Margin (GM) for the Division
  • Meet/Exceed wins and bookings for the Division
  • Participate actively as a member of the business line leadership team
  • Meet or exceed hiring targets
  • Meet or exceed Enterprise Capabilities and Workshare goals
  • Adopt ESG and Digital initiatives
  • Manages safety, training and career development KPIs
  • Support our people to thrive and grow in their preferred career paths (PD, SME, BD, and Operations)

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS in Civil/Environmental Engineering and 12 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and or education, including 4 years of leadership
  • Experience leading large sales programs and operations of similar sized water / wastewater businesses
  • Registered Professional Engineer or ability to obtain certification within 1 year
  • Proven experience in water and wastewater project management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's in Civil/Environmental Engineering and 20+ years of relevant experience  
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to build and lead high-performing teams.
  • Demonstrated success in client relationship management.
  • A proven track record of growing water / wastewater businesses.
  • Passion for delivering sustainable infrastructure solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
