Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

Job Title: Multi Craft JourneymanJob DescriptionA Multi-skilled Journeyman (welder/fitter/mechanic) is a highly skilled tradesperson proficient in multiple disciplines within the skilled trades. This role involves a diverse set of skills and expertise, enabling the specialist to perform various tasks across different crafts.Responsibilities• Read and understand drawings, blueprints, and P&ID’s.• Position, align, and secure parts and assemblies according to specifications using various measuring tools.• Perform welding using GMAW, SMAW, and GTAW welding processes.• Proficient in butt and socket welding for carbon steel and stainless steel pipe/tube, and threaded carbon steel and stainless steel pipe, as well as experience with PVC/CPVC and copper solder.• Proficient in Pro and Mega Press Mechanical Piping.• Operate hand and power tools such as magnetic drills, grinders, cutting torches, and automated welding tractors.• Inspect equipment prior to use to maintain quality and functionality, and report any malfunctions.• Assist others with the execution of work in a professional manner.• Inspect own work for compliance with contract plans and specifications, and take corrective action as needed.• Travel to multiple locations in the field, including Delaware, New Jersey, PA, and Maryland.• Be willing to work overtime, alternative shifts, and be available on an emergency basisAdditional Skills & Qualifications• 5+ years of experience in the fabrication/welding industry.• Experience in GMAW, SMAW, and GTAW, with the ability to qualify to D1.1 structural command and to weld pipe in 6-G position per AWS using the GTAW process in carbon and stainless steel.• Proficient in welding symbols, deciphering work packages, diagrams, blueprints, and other printed instructional material.• Ability to understand, follow, and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervision.• Ability to cut material using cutting torch, plasma torch, Port-a-band saw, and other related tools.• OSHA/10 safety training required, with up-to-date OSHA/10 or greater being a plus.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $31.48 - $37.10Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
